We have 13 Technical Tours on offer this year. More details of each tour will be sent out closer to the conference. The Technical Tours will be held on Wednesday 12 November 2008. These tours may change subject to numbers. Please advise us when registering which are your preferences for which Technical Tour. As a result of these preferences we will invite all delegates to nominate their choice of Technical Tour via Email in September.

  • Botanic Gardens Tour – Dandenong Ranges Gardens; Wilson Botanic Park, Cranbourne Botanic Gardens & Royal Botanic Gardens - Bus
  • Play Spaces – Metropolitan Innovative Playgrounds and play spaces - Bus
  • Werribee (Mansion, Zoo, State Rose Garden, Hotel/ St Josephs restaurant, Winery, New Park plus water issues) - Bus
  • Open Space and Gardens - Walking Tour Melbourne– Birrarung Marr, Fitzroy and Carlton Gardens, North /Southbank, Docklands
  • Water Initiatives - Royal Park Wetlands, Water Treatment / Zoo, Hockey /Netball Centre & 5 Star Building CH2 – Tram
  • Bike Tours – Bayside Foreshore, or / City Tour – Parks/Facilities / Mountain Bike Tour - (Bus to destination)
  • Aquatic Facilities, Management and Programs Tour – visit a new centre with successful multicultural programs, see a refurbished centre and heritage related centre - Bus
  • Urban Design Art and Space in Melbourne CBD - Federation Square / 6 Star Energy Building – walking tour
  • Urban Fringe Communities - City of Casey, one of the fastest growing municipalities in Australia. Sustainable design for open space/ sports (SRV Active City Program) - Casey Fields and Cranbourne Pool
  • Inner City Community Facilities, Multiculturalism and AAA programs/projects & Western Bulldogs Stadium AFL – Bus
